Female Strife Series|Original Superheroines Series|Apocalypse Series|Less Recent Projects
This series is an artistic exploration of the various struggles faced by women around the world using abstract and conceptual photomanipulation to manifest the emotional and physical pain of these afflictions of the soul & incorporating nude models to express the vulnerability and simple strength of womanhood in adversity.
*Note: Although these struggles are not necessarily restricted to women, this project focuses exclusively on the female experience and perspective.
Melancholia - This piece was inspired by the feeling of severe and crippling depression, when one feels broken and alone.
Anorexia - This piece was inspired by the experience of those suffering from anorexia, starving for sustenance yet psychologically compelled to deny oneself of food.
Victimization - This piece was inspired by the experience of those who are physically and sexually abused, simultaneously silenced by the ordeal and left with a mind and body that are screaming out in agony for both justice and reprieve.
Flayed - This piece was inspired by the feeling of being emotionally abused, having one's spirit figuratively flayed alive by the words and actions of others.
Distorted - This piece was inspired by the feeling of having a distorted body-image in connection to weight and body-shape, the feeling of inadequacy when seeing oneself as either too skinny or too fat, regardless of one's actual size, and the pressure that society puts on women to be a 'perfect' size.

This series is an answer to the longstanding tradition of women in comicbooks existing solely in relation to male characters, either as love interests, cannon fodder, or female versions of already established male characters. As comic artists become more aware of this issue, as many have recently begun to do, female characters will break the mold. This series is an exploration of these types of empowered and independent female characters using photomanipulation, digital drawing, and writing.

This series, inspired by streampunk/cyberpunk aesthetics and comicbook realism, is an exploration of apocalyptic themes including alien invasions, zombie outbreaks, and man's destruction of the Earth that incorporates both photomanipulation and writing to depict commonalities in the apocalyptic genres including societal breakdown, violence, government corruption, survival at all costs, humanity's endurance, and the disparity between humanity's selfish nature & strong survival instinct and its instinct to form strong social bonds & help each other out.
The ApocalypseSo, I've recently have been doing a series of Apocalyptic works that take place in the same universe.

Winter Birds Series - This short series is an artistic expression of the enchantment of winter and the simple beauty of nature incorporating rich colors & beautiful models to highlight the beauty of the season while contrasting with the stark whiteness of the snow and using birds symbolically as images of the wonderment of nature.
Children's Literature Project - This project, inspired by classic and modern children's literature, is an artistic exploration that incorporates photomanipulation to re-imagine well-known characters in a style reminiscent of classic illustrations.
Elementals Project - This short project is an artistic exploration of the "elements" that make up the world, personifying these elements as mythical beings in order to express how nature is very much magical in its own right.
